Our evidence policy

A product is not called approved. We distinguish primary evidence, manufacturer claims, missing evidence and superseded evidence.

We publish this guidance for households in Great Britain. It is intentionally cautious because the decision depends on a complete product, its documentation, the mounting location and the electrical installation.
